You just need not wait for a weed tablet or a pill to be made .They don’t have any bad side effects and can be easily made at home and they are so cost effective! Here is a simple recipe for making marijuana tincture at home.

Ingredients:

  • Clear grain hard alcohol
  • Weed (flowers or leaves)

Kitchen Tools:

  • A canning jar
  • Mesh strainer or cheese cloth
  • Tincture bottles with stoppers
  • Small funnel
  • Coffee grinder
  • Timer

Directions:

Start off by keeping all the above things that you need ready on a work space or kitchen. First thing to do is grind the weed using the coffee grinder till you get a finely ground powdery consistency. Then put it into the canning jar.

The next step is to add the alcohol to the powdered weed. For this recipe we are using a clear grained alcohol as we do not want any other flavours to get into the tincture so that only the marijuana can be tasted. Add the alcohol to the weed depending on how you want it to be used. In this recipe we are making an extract which should be used only a teaspoon to a tablespoon at a time. So pour enough alcohol just to cover the powdered buds. Make sure you close the lid of the canning jar nice and tight so that the flavour can be sealed in.

This next step is quite important. Set your timer to 3 minutes and start shaking the mixture in the canning jar, vigourously. Continue shaking the jar for the whole period of 3 minutes till the timer sounds. Here, the alcohol works not only as a solvent but also as a dehydrating agent, hence by stirring the mixture continuously you are making sure that the weed gets nicely infused with the alcohol and the alcohol soaks up the weed’s flavour.

Once the 3 minutes are up you can stop shaking the mixture. Now all you need to do is strain the mixture out using the mesh strainer or cheese cloth. The solution you strain out is your tincture totally prepared and ready to be used. You can use the small funnel to pour the tincture into small tincture bottles with droppers for storage and use. Make sure to always shake the bottle well before you use the tincture as the residue resin settles at the bottom of the jar when it is stored. Such a simple and hassle free recipe to make your own weed tincture at home!
